The starting hole allows players to hit their tee shot within sight of Mt. Eniwa-dake. Tee shots tend to fall in a pond on the left. The best strategy is to aim at the right side of the fairway.

Be careful with the spruce on the right side in front of the green. As the fairway is sloped to the left, tee shots often end up in the left rough.

A dogleg right par 5. It is important to have an accurate sense of distance when playing the uphill third shot. The large bunker with a high lip awaiting wayward shots at the left front of the green can be tough to get out of.
